Love for Newport Folk Fest

This week’s Newport Mercury “Full Frontal” article was about a sentiment close to me: love for Newport Folk Fest. I love this music festival. It’s incredible that it’s been going for over 50 years through the will of George Wein. So I wanted to give some honor to the guy. I originally had him in the piece, but the editor wanted it pulled. I’m sure it was because it made it look like the guy was dead and going all Lion King Mufasa on us. I’ll post that one later just for fun. Unfortunately this year, tickets sold out way too fast, and my wife and I missed buying them. We decided to go to the Wilco show Friday to kick off, but no luck on the rest of the awesome event. Still, thanks for looking!
